There are technically two beaches here, Faros beach with taverna's at the waters edge and Glyfo beach, at Faros if you swim out far enough you'll be amongst the rowing boats and fishing caiques!
Apokofto
A sandy beach with rocky shelf next to the monastery of Chrysopigi. Apokofto is a great beach, never too crowded and two excellent taverns.
Kamares
One of the best on Sifnos, a long stretch of golden beach and shallow enough so you don't have to worry about your kids. Don't be put off by the fact that Kamares is also the port because Kamares beach has recently been awarded a "Blue Flag" for cleanliness and water purity.
Vathi
One of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Sifnos and Greece in general. Vathi has fine golden sand and some excellent taverna's on the beach, practically at the waters edge.
Platis Gialos
One of the longest beaches in the Cyclades and the most popular on Sifnos. Platy Yialos beach is long and sheltered with hotels and taverna's in the area, which means it can get a bit crowded during late July and August.
Heronissos
Heronissos today is a quaint and very quiet little fishing village with a couple of tavernas, and one of the popular traditional pottery workshops of Sifnos.
Vroulidia
Vroulida is a perfect pebble beach with pristine blue waters with a sandy sea floor. It is considered to be one of the most serene beaches in Sifnos
Fasolou
A short walk from Faros with a good tavern on the beach. Fasolou beach is not large but the combination fine golden sand, clear waters and rocks bordering both sides make it ideal for sun worshipers, swimmers and snorkel fans alike.
Fykiada
This beach is off the beaten path. To access Fykiada you can take a boat or hike . It is crystal clear and often quiet though occasionally visited by boats. The hikes to get there are lovely.
Seralia
Small stony beach with flat stones, great for sunbathing and good snorkelling. There are a couple of tavernas at Seralia but, like Poulati, there are also a number of steps to negotiate
Lazarou
A beautiful location with crystal clear waters. The wooden deck that covers most of the bay, offers moments of tranquility under the umbrellas.
Poulati
The small, stoney beach at Poulati is great for snorkelling and a popular hang-out for young people who want to get away from the crowds. But beware, there are quite a few steps to get down to Poulati beach and there always seems to be more on the way back up!
